Issues/Inconsistencies
in Egypt’s Version of Sameh Khouzam Case We have an affidavit and photographs of the murdered woman walking in Cairo several months after she was killed. Document purporting to be from “Egyptian Interpol.” I don’t think there is an Egyptian Interpol. I filed a Freedom Of Information Act inquiry with INTERPOL and the results were that it has no record of Mr. Khouzam in its files. How is this possible if INTERPOL supposedly issued a warrant for Khouzam that he is wanted for murder in Egypt. First of all, Mr. Khouzam was not charged with murder until AFTER he fled from Egypt. Secondly, it is interesting to note that the warrant number 2297 which supposedly came from INTERPOL is the same warrant number listed by the Egyptian government in its police report which is a part of Mr. Khouzam’s file. Mr. Khouzam did not have knowledge that he was wanted by the Egyptian authorities until after he was informed of this by an INS officer here in the United States after his arrival Entire police report from Cairo was created within twelve hours of when the alleged crime occurred. This seems like an awfully detailed report for such a short period of time. Cairo police said that they matched Sameh’s fingerprints with the fingerprints found at the crime scene. Problem is that they didn’t have his fingerprints on file and had to obtain them from his employer. The time line of when the police report/investigation was supposed to have been done would not have allowed time for police to go get his prints from office, which was closed. Different parts of police report say different things. I do not remember the details off the top of my head but some of them are: Position in which corpse was found (sometimes on side, on back and on stomach) Whether anything was stolen – one version yes, one version says no One version has the woman’s daughter saying she had no idea what had happened and another one has her saying that she was sure Sameh had killed her. Egypt alleges he had been having an affair with the dead woman’s daughter. Sameh’s wife denies this. I have spoken with her in person many times and I believe her. While Sameh was still living in Egypt he had to have surgery for anal fissures caused by torture sessions by SSI which included sodomy. Sameh also had to have surgery as the result of an earlier injury from one of the attempts to convert him where a window was opened onto his hand, causing a serious injury and a loss of a lot of blood.
